89 X2 with a 750 small pin, Sudco blue 42mm Help?

Sudco 42 is not big enough for a 750 motor unless you don't mind having no power. Put dual carbs on it if you want max performance and don't listen to anybody that suggests a single over duals. Single 44 or 46 works but it ain't power

He is running duals

I just read your opening statement and your pilot jets are too small . That's why it dies when you stab it from idle. Too much air all at once. That's why it takes off better at higher rpm because you are off the pilot circuit and getting more gas. If it dies, you need to jump up about 3 jet sizes not just a little. One jet size is barely anything in screw turns.

After spending some time on the water last weekend. The ski is running really strong on the top end. about 7500 RPM on flat water. It does not have the rip your arm off feel i would like on the line but it is good enough until I can determine the correct jet sizes. Low screws are about 1 1/8 out and top are about 1 out. So all the issues I had been fighting was the filter being dirty and maybe a primer line crack. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I will use them in the future.
