It's really not difficult. Just drill your stock nozzle. It takes all of 2 minutes (you might have to pull your nozzle off). The pic below I just went out and snapped from my '90 SN. You will probably have to adjust your cable to re-center your handle bars. This mod quickens up your steering and makes it a totally different experience and it's well worth doing. Why pay money for a 650 nozzle and wait for it to ship? Just do the mod.

Did the MOD guys, moved the cable out on the bars, turned the stop 90 degrees, and drilled a hole closer on the nozzle. Super easy and a Huge difference! I had to re adjust the steering cable to straighten out the ski a few times but it's good now. Thanks for all the help guys!!

Nice to meet you buddy. Good job on the steering mod. I have the same story as you. First ski 91 superjet with the a/m basic handling mods. Nowadays I'm still on that stock hull but I've damn near broken everything there is to break! Ride that thing hard as you can and when poop breaks make it faster baby!
