Whats the point of the side and front rails?
I always thought it was to catch bow splash and such.

You can use a toothbrush on the carbs for getting out the gunk.

I would also say if the ski still has a choke, ditch it and install a primer kit. Most of us start our skis by dumping fresh fuel into the carbs, that is exactly what the primer does. It can be very hard to start a ski with a choke, thats why everyone I know has a primer and no choke.
 
I completely agree and both my JS have primers. And will order those today for the superjet and Kraze.
I just was wondering if I was circumventing an underlying problem by installing a primer.
The Ski SHOULD start with a choke, shouldn't it?

Since rebuilding and cleaning the carbs, it seems like it now runs rough at low speed and wont idle. I'm assuming that since taking all the junk from the filter out. Its flooding maybe?
Ill try to post a video. It almost sounds like detonation. But I'm not sure, As its 91 octane gas with octane boosters that we run in my friends Modded 550 with 220psi. And it runs and idles great.
