92 super jet wont start

Sounds like the start/stop switch. Take it apart and spray some WD-40 on the contacts.
Could also be the ground wire from the starter to the battery.

Generally, check the fuse in the e-box, and then the start stop switch. Properly, the kill switch lanyard button is stuck down.

If the lanyard button is stuck down, you won't get anything, if the stop switch is stuck, the engine will turn over, but you won't have any spark.
 
those tether switches suck on yamahas. mine wouldnt start the other day.. theres 2 tiny springs for start circuit and kill circuit. i had to bypass the start circuit switch..

Thank you all ordered new switch assembly. Jumped contacts and got it but better safe than sorry so new one it was. Also went with odyssey battery as well along with bilge pump kit. Really appreciate the insight. Good to be back on the water
