This was not really a build up but more of a "restoration". I bought it from an older gentlemen who used it in a freshwater lake since he baught it new so it was in super nice shape. The hull was solid with no signs of wear on the bottom. Unfortunatelly he painted it red and didn't do a good job at all. I started out by stripping it to a bare hull but while doing so I quickly found out someone used red locktite on the pump and rideplate bolts. I ended up braking one of each but was able to get a pump bolt out with an easy out but the rideplate bolt I had to drill out the insert and epoxy another one in. Anyway, this is what I started out with.

Stripped it down to a bare hull and sanded ALL the red paint off. While I was at it I installed a rear exhaust from CEMotorsports. Great piece and made very well.

I made a make shift paint booth out of a pop up tent, a home a/c filter and visqueen. Looked a little hillbilly but worked pretty well. Shot it using a devilbiss gun and Nason single stage urethane. Not perfect with a bit of orange peel but not bad for a first try.

Almost done. Installed the turf yesterday and almost got it all back together but I am still waiting on my UMI steering, duck bill drains, Hydroturf seat cover and fuel selector knob.
