hey guys new to the forum and new to older skis i have an 06 800sxr but i recently bought a 94' 650sx big plans for this thing, so here are a few questions what do you guys normally mix your gas at in these and what type of 2stroke oil do you use? the motor thats in the ski now came out of an x2 so it has the dual carb and im trying to find parts for this thing the guy who put it together was kind of a hack needs new exhuast gasket on the riser part need a new throttle cable its pretty loose, could prob use a carb rebuild kit or kits seeing as its got duals any help would be great im going to remove all the deals some how haha and paint it all black with a candy apple red/maroon pole and last but not least is it possible to swap a 750 big pin into this hull? thanks for the help guys

as long as the oil is TcW3 rated then youll be fine

yes premix

650/750/800 motors are all interchanglable with little to NO modifications required

what are you mixing at 50:1 32:1 and wheres a good place to start with for parts for the older skis i use blowsion for all the stuff for my 800

I wouldnt waste your time on bigpin unless you make a fuel tank and run a factory limited pipe
A well ported(i would bore to 657cc) and some wiseco's 175-180 psi ski with a factory pipe(+36%hp) and 9-17skat and a taborbored 44sbn should run 51-55mph
right upto the hulls speed limit
lighten your flywheel or get a closed magnet aluminum flywheel

your gonna lose so much power if you dont run a limted factory pipe on a big pin
alot less gas aswell than bigpin

650sx is so slow stock 1st thing you do is get some umi bars and a pole spring and a oceanpro winged channled ride plate it handles real well!

you can run your carb it will have a bit better gas mileage than a 44sbn I run a pjs tru bore 38mm version of yours, yours is actually 36mm

milling your head(40 bucks at most machine shops) about .35thou is +3-4hp but you gotta run premium
the headbolts get retorqued to 17ftlbs to the sequence and you cAn reuse the copper headgaskette usually

so your sayin stick with the 650 dual carb and just build the crap outta that i put the fuel tank in out of the x2 its another gallon or so bigger than the one that was in there when i got it, what should i do carb wise if i end up punchin the motor out a little bit

ya use those carbs will be great with the pipe and mill the head and run some goldlabel green castor oil it will be a whole new ski if its running right

it will be fast with the pipe mill and prop, you will be F amazed

then port +10hp. but figure out if your motor is tired anything below 138psi i would pull the cylinder and just hone and rering

leave the stock waterbox maybe drill one hole and get a flow control valve (either one)

factory pipes are pricey. westcoast is like +14% gain but i think they run better ported

the worst pipe ever made was the 650sx pipe

pwctoday has alota used parts

also pricey 150-200 is the dales cdi ignition but its 1-3! mph gain

I would ask a repatable moddifier for jetting with your combos its real crucial to the ski making alota power or none
I suck at carbs. really i would just take the motor to a dyno person than can dyno tune it

side note it could run fine with minor richening or leaning?

you could do the wot throttle plug tests

skis in pretty good looking shape and its rear exhaust which i wish i had really , I would drill one hole thru the waterbox you can search how to do it. you already got 4 degree bars, i would get a aftermarket pole spring it will make the heavy pole featherlight and easier to way easier to ride and turn and have to balance

it has an after market pole spring im pretty sure because the pole weighs nothing an i have a spare spring i got with it, this thing is loud as can be im pretty sure the guy who owned it before bypassed the balled or what ever its actually called thats ahead of the tank, iv been trying to find gaskets for the exhuast and dual carb set up but havnt really had any luck with the carb ones, also do they make any sort of rub rail kits wwith more of a round style to it?

awesome, no the only thing you can do is find good ones, I was gonna send mine to jettrim and have them covered in this black sued they have this suede like material for water real nice.

you need some of these annodized fitting for the large bow and tail hook holes

i would do blue or black it will give it a new look and feel front and back
