so i figured id post everything in one thread instead of separate ones for each mini project. i have a 94 b1 with the following mods
  • bored .30 over with wiseco pistons, ported and polished for high octane fuel
  • Pro-Tec head has about 168lbs compression in each cylinder
  • R&D exhaust manifold pipe and waterbox
  • Dual 46 Mikuni carbs
  • R&D intake manifold
  • UMI steering

those were the mods done to it when i purchased it. im going to be painting it, doing a seat mod (shaved and lowered),
i wanna replace the hoses with the colored clear blowsion ones and do a rear exhaust kit and pull trim kit system and maybe 2 single flame arrestors rather than the k&n one.

are there any other mods i should do to enhance the performance and give it some more pick up?

i need to add inline fuel filters seeing as it has none which is really odd to me. whats a good one that will allow high flow?

You can buy a yamaha one for a different ski that is a little better flow. Thats what I have. I can check on exactly what it is if no one else chimes in.

are you talking about the fuel filters? currently i have none so anyhting is better than nothing IMO since i gotta pull the carb apart and clean it, that should help yield a bit more pick up

Check with jetmaniac, he has a couple of different tyles to choose from. I'm running the smaller ones he offers on a bb781 with no issues at all. I like that they're clear. Makes it easy to check flow.

yeah i messaged him a few times but no answer. oh well, at least someone is making them and it looks like his work is excellent too. i oredered a set of the foot peg things that bolt on under the handle. i cant wait till they get here and try them out

Yeah same here. I have footholds on mine that go on under the grab handles. I like them better for flat water. They are kinda sketchy when jumping waves just because I like to move my feet around for balance.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347922705.968585.jpg

Yeah those are what ordered. I'm thinking I might just do some minor mods and paint it this winter and save up for a superjet. I wanna barrel roll and do tricks. But the wave blaster will be a nice ride for the gf

the tear down begins today. i took the seat apart and am taking everything off the body. ill pull the fuel tank then flip it upside down and do a bit of fiberglass work on the bottom and then paint it up. still not sure on the color yet. not white or blurple thats all i know

I used a stock SJ exhaust tube for my rear exit. It works awesome because you can then buy any aftermarket exhaust fitting thing out there for an SJ. The filters I was talking about are clear also. They are for some bigger 2 stroke Yamaha but fit in the same holders as stock. If you don't have anything it doesn't matter much though.
