FX-1 94 FX-1 "Remodel" Build

I bought this little gem last year after selling my 650sx. After finding this site and talking with other members, I decided to "remodel" this ski during the winter. I started a thread in the Fx1 section of my full build and progress, but I would like to share my build with other in short form. I'm one of those types who can't leave any toy alone. Just like all of you!

One Time Signs in Orange, CA. hooked me up. it was their first wrap done on the a jet ski, so i got a super good deal on the design, print and install. I worked together with them on the design aspect. You can prob get a sweet deal on a wrap if you want to install it your self. Just have them mail it to you. Dan does the design and install and Mark owns the place. http://ontimesigns.wordpress.com/contact/

Thanks guys for the love

The Bedliner works great. I beached it all weekend and the bottom still looks the same. I don't even notice a difference. Feels the exact same. It's not that textured on the bottom. The liner comes out quite smooth. If some of it wears off it easy to touch up and it blends right in. Plus this isn't a race ski. I just don't want that purple coming through! Lol

well couldn't wait till winter. bolted in an MSD cdi, Deka 9 battery, TBM internal fuel fill, 144 alum pump shoe, wet wolf pump cone, 144 bonzai bob pump blue printed with a skat 13/18 swirl and a protec steering nozzle. it got a little itchy opening up the pump shoe valley but it came out nice. can't wait to rip it.

i just capped the tank at the filler end. removed fill hose and left the external fill cap in place. i didnt want to get too crazy with glass work. just glassed all the necessary locations. you can see in the pics, that the fill cap is still there.

the bedliner has been working out great. i would buy 3 cans of it, if you're starting fresh. i used rust oleum's brand ($8 a can). i beach it hard in the sand, slide it in and out of the truck and off the stand. you can see where it started to rub off a tad. i just laid the ski on its side and sprayed it heavier in those spots. blends perfect. im really happy. and the black bottom looks cool when you come out of the water.
