94 Square Nose Handling for Racing

but in my honest opinion..you will have way more into this thing that you should and it will never be competitive. save your money and get a stock 08+ and ride the piss out of it just like how the Norwegian jetski team trains.

When my gas tank gets empty, the front end skates around and doesn't stay planted in the water. I'm heavy - I'm 220 lbs on the back. With a full tankard the lead weight those tubbies it carves better than it ever has.

That's just how that hull handles, you have to really work your body position to make it handle as the fuel level drops. Gotta drop the handlebars down in every turn and whenever it starts getting squirrelly

Are you running a stock pole? Running a shorter pole will help get your weight forward and allow you to ride more aggressively. Sounds like it would help you a bunch, I know for me it really allowed me to get my weight forward and over the bars and rail turns better

Yeah I'm running the stock pole and turn plate. Running straight Blowsion bars. You have a round nose pole on yours? How much shorter is the round nose pole? If I got one of those poles, would I have to change steering cables or anything like that?

Damn i didnt realize you still had the stocj steering and pole, definitely get a rn pole prefferably 08+ but older will be a step up. You need umi style steering, absolutely essential

Ah ok. Yeah I e got everything else I think.. Mod engine, tubbies, extra weight, rear sponsons, jet dynamics intake, Worx Dominator ride plate, Pro-Tec drop nozzle, wide bars, just stock everything on steering.

Do I have to change the steering cable and the pole mount to go to a round nose pole? Is it a difficult job to change it over?

You need a conversion bracket for the pole, rad dudes and watcon have them, not sure about the steering cable I think it was the same 90-07

Umi steering is so much smoother and less sloppy than stock bushings. Stock steering is pretty terrible in general, it just gets worse over the years as the bushings wear out.

The main problem with the old school superjet, especially the 96-07 is there is so much oversteer to the right and a bit of understeer to the left. I find that you really need to get fwd and leaned over when turning left while staying on the gas, and in right turns you need to pull back and stay centered on the ski...its a point and shoot style of turning. The more power the better.

I had ridden modern competitive superjets for pro stock class, its night and day compared to the old ones.
