Dasa make zero hp on stock stroke. That engine should last longer then 50 hours, they are not that high hp. The ET makes good power for a SS but wont make the power of that 8mil, I've rode both.

I know a dasa 1100 setup that felt similar to my 61x cases under 61x cyl. at 84mm. Hahaha. If u don't know what ur doing ur fuccked no matter what engine u have.

I'll trade u my shortblock for your intake and reeds on ur dasa...... You'll sail just as high in the surf and have fun for years to come worry free......

I wouldn't know if the 967 will compare to anything with those components. I've really only setup flatwater units and they made crazy power with fantastic reliability. 50 hours in my eyes is crazy talk for a blown engine. Doesn't surprise me at all. Ive got two seasons on my 10 mil ADR without a single rebuild. I ask every bit of power from my engine also. I would bet the 967 is gonna give you heaps more reliability with that package and still make decent power.

bpipe, 148 pump, MSD, 62T electronics, 400LBS pig Rickter Edge FR probably waterlogged, 50mm Thrust carbs. I ride surf only.

Pretty much same setup as the dasa I was talking about..... When you guys set these engines up w b pipes and stock ignition your wasting all the money u put into the shortblock....

ET would compare bc as art has said per dyno results, b pipe is only go for so much hp PERIOD. Doesn't matter if you have an xs1400

I ride 100% surf and surf down here in SE FL is mostly 3-6ft chop. I love my edge because it is extra heavy for some reason and rides different than any other edge I've ridden. That hull though demands power. Handling on that ski sucks with little engine. The 8mil stroker provides exactly what I want with the heavy hull, a bottom pop with solid linear power band all the way through. I don't know about dynos, numbers etc but I know very well what I like the second I get on the ski and pull the throttle. With my bpipe on a good day this setup is a surf dream, no need of constantly clogging laydown pipe. More power than that starts beating you up specially in a choppy surf. I only wish if it could have lasted a bit longer between major overhauls.

I hear ya, the SS won't make that kinda power.. takes a cylinder & bore plus a crank to get what your getting.. SS don't feel radical like an 8 mil.. I shoulda kept my 8 mil :(

Less bark down low, probably same power up top.

Ive got a couple hundred hrs on my stock stroke 850 over the last 2.5 years. Changed wrist pins a few times and pistons once.

Blow out all the water. Proper fogging(flame arrestors off, spray til engine is pretty much stalling while revving) take out plugs and spray some more for good measure. wet vacuum out the engine bay. Leave the hood off. Little care goes a long way.

Klotz ski craft 32:1. When i changed pistons i couldnt believe how clean they were. I didnt even have to at 100 hrs but i did anyway.
