For the CF Water Box, did you use high temperature Epoxy Resin and/or add layers of Aluminum Foil to withstand the Heat?

that is similar to what I did on the 787 install , rear engine plate mounted backwards but I cut it open where it bends at the bottom and reworked the angle to use Superjet engine mounts . the front mount is an aluminum plate epoxied to the bottom of the hull, the hull is sandwiched between the plate and the mount and then the hull was reshaped on the bottom t cover it up.

More shenanigans. Pipe and pump are off getting welded after we got everything prepped and ready for our welder. Waiting for intercooler piping kit to show up so we can finish up the water box and mock up the complete exhaust. Then it’s the FUN part…. Building a fkin fuel tank to fit in this thing! lol.

I do applaud your efforts, what you have done so far is very impressive, that being said this pic shows why I would never do this swap, I see no way you are going to keep water out of the carbs and 951's don't like water ingestion.

And X2's let alot of water in. If you could find some way (Manifold) to turn the carbs upright, this would help.

The carbs can't turn upwards because they are right under the exhaust pipe , the best you could hope for is some kind of intake snorkel to get the air intake somewhere up under the steering.

I’ll dig up some pics of the intake box we built for our x4. Basically an aluminum box that seal up to the carbs and an intake tube that routes to a better location

Got some parts back from getting welded, everything’s fitting together beautifully. Pump tabs welded up and pump is mounted solid! Time to get the exhaust routing all plumbed & build the fuel cell

One more thing I learned the hard way on my first X2-seadoo 720 swap, you have to have quite a bit of room between the engine and the hull , the engine moves around a bit ,I thought I had enough clearance, turns out I didn't and it rubbed a hole right through the bottom of the hull.

That 951 is way heavier than the 720, just saying , give it the proper clearance or it will make it's own clearance .

The 951 has a counter balancer. Thing is silky smooth, the 720 on the other hand is a paint shaker & on a bed plate. Although we will still make proper clearances
