SX/SXi/SXi Pro 96' 750 sxi runs fine, then bogs down?

My buddy has a 1996 750 sxi. Ran great last summer. But this summer it starts and idles fine but will not rev past idle. It has spurts where it runs like normal for a minute or two then it bogs back down to idle. ski still has oil injection. but we cut back the plug wire a tad to some fresh wire and removed the temp sensor to see if that was the problem and it still does the same thing. Carbs were pretty dirty inside so we cleaned them, but still it has the same problem. what do you guys think? clogged jets in the carb? time for some mikuni kits? electrical problems?

ummmm that I dont know if they are the same...have you guys ran it since cleaning the carbs? If they were pretty dirty/old gas let sit in the ski and in the carbs without sta-bil then its a good chance that was the problem..

gas sat in the carbs without stabil over the winter. he is gonna get some rebuild kits. he got the ski for $900 from some guy that let it sit under a cover outside so there is a cause of even more were on the components but it did run like a champ last summer.
