Blaster 96 B1 with 64U cases... thought they came with 62t's???

Has anyone else seen this? When it comes to getting an aftermarket intake manifold will the 62t manifolds work? Also are the exhaust ports different on the cylinders?? I really hope not cause i dont want to have to find a new factory pipe manifold!

how bout intake manifold? lookin to get a DASA but for that money i wanna be sure it fits correctly.

The 64U designation label just means it's a 96 Wave Blaster-1 crank cylinder assembly with a 61X cylinder, 62T cases and a 64U head.

I'm running a set of 64U cases and Cyl in my B1. Only dif in the cases is a factory installed dual Paulse lines. And the Cyl has a larger bore. 84mm if I remember correctly. The Cyl uses 10mm bolts for the Exhaust manafold. You can drill out your manifold, OR install heli coils and run the 8mm bolts. That's the route I went with in mine. Because i was under the impression that the 64U was a 760 in which case the previouse owner may have swapped in a 760.If that was the case then i thought the 760 ports dont match the 701 manifold. I now realize my mistake and can see that 62t is stamped in the case. looks like im all good. I mocked up the exhaust last night and it all lines up.

There is a slight mismatch between 760 and 701 ports, but most guys put timeserts in the 10mm bolt holes making them 8mm threads and bolt up a 701 manifold, of course you can get 760-701 62T specific exhaust manifolds from FPP as well.

So long story made short 62T AND 64X cylinders 10mm exhaust bolt holes, 61X cylinder 8mm exhaust bolt holes

Ha ha I went through this same thing when I was looking for my 96 and actually passed one up before investigating enough to know that all 96 B1's came with 64u cases actually I dont think anything on them is stamped 62T.
