Long term storage humidity is my main concern with these. That sounds like a good way to prevent that issue.

Thanks for posting up the build - I'm re-doing a '96 over the winter too.
Noticed the 24x7 scupper and figured the flap might be a little cracked like mine. I found that this buna sheet (12"x12"x1/8") for $10 works awesome and you could probably make 6 replacements: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0075DXNTA
Are you going to put in a zeel cdi? My Solas 10/16 just came in so I'll be posting a bit more about that shortly.

digging this battery, I wonder what the cca (do they even measure lithium batteries like that)? compared to say a 16clb yuasa? You buy it on amazon?
