I was looking at your marked outline and thinking it was awfull low because they do spread out when you screw them down. Are you just using 5200 and screws or are you going to glass them on? I suggest glassing and frenching them in myself, it is an extra day of sanding but worth it IMO.

too late they are on..used the marine 940 fs and left the screws...i did it the same last time and took the screws out..no problems after 6months of surf abuse..i dont like them faired in..i just need to blend them so they stick

and i like them lower(opposite of T2'si friggen hate those things)..they are nearly in the same place as my square..

yea it works well..its the stuff blowsion sells...dries much faster...

my outline is in the right spot (per blowsions directions) but when i put the tubbies on i pulled the front down to get even more area flush with the bottom of the ski..thats what i did last time and i think thats why my square was the best handling sj ever, period. :)

yeah... they do look really low compared to most I've seen....

I was told 38" to rear / 3.5" up rear / .5" up front

http://www.jetskier79.com/gallery/d/593-2/DSC06534.jpg

36.25 from the back/3.5 up rear/.5 front=blowsions directions i think you are almost two inches too far forward

come on guys get it together....ouch nick you running em that high???...nose gets too much bite like that

edit: just saw you had t2s...have you tried t1s??..i HATE t2s for surfriding

different instructions as the 1s????...or are you 1.75 too far forward on purpose?

i like to think of the tubbies as adding extra width to the nose not as another chine..we need a looser nose not one that tracks better

as per Mark and Blowsion... he had a different setup that was working w/ the 2's...

what issue do have w/ 2's??? they are very similar

ive been riding them latley (on that silver rn i have)..they get too much bite as you are finishing a slash and force the pump to slide in a not good way..all of a sudden the nose just hooks up...not as nuetral as 1s imo..also they stick to the wave face too much when you are going down the line and make the ski do wierd things

thats part of the idea of putting them up higher and more forward... less bite...

they work fine down the line:

im not saying you cant ride down the line with tubbie 2s im just saying they dont wander on the face like the 1s letting you just be neutral on the ski..having them higher creates a second chine..when they are flush all they are doing is widening the hull up..kinda like the new rn :)

I really like the look of Taylor's, but I actually think yours looks cleaner at the moment. That nose piece turned out really nice.
