98 sxi pro to 1100 conversion help

Hey guys, I currently picked up a stx1100 that had a hole in the bottom of the ski for free, motor ended up checking out so I ripped it out and plan on dropping it into my 1998 sxi pro.

There are a few threads I've seen on this but I can't seem to find some specific answers. And would like to hear your guys builds on this swap.

- Do I use the 750 sxi pro motor bed plate or the 1100s?
- What motor mounts will work?
- Exhaust setup?
- Shaft setup?
- Water box setup?

If anyone has done this swap into an sxi pro please drop your knowledge.

Thanks!

I put a 900 zxi in a sxr. A little diffrent but might help. I put the 800 bed plate on the 900. Used the sxr motor mounts and a drive shaft out of a 750 sit down. Stock exhaust and a rouge racing rear water box. Im pretty sure with the 1100 you have to switch the motpr coupler out for a smaller one

i know a guy that did it. he had to bubble the hull and machine the stock pipe to get it in there. not sure exactly what else was used or done but he was a mechanical guru and it was a nightmare. I would advise against it. that pro hull isn't going to be the greatest with that heavy motor in there. my friends boat was fun, but it was ported to the moon with big carbs
