I have a 98 superjet in storage at my folks place outside Toronto, it also says limited edition on it. It was a Canada spec boat, maybe ex-US got the limited edition badging? It definitely is not related to a pipe or mods, it came from Yamaha like that. Pic is a bit grainy but you can see it under the numbers.
