I like the baby powder idea. I will give that a try this week. Previously, I try to make sure I'm wearing gloves and long sleeve shirts on composite days to avoid contact with the fibers. If I forget, I always step outside with the air hose and blow off my hands and arms before washing with cold water. If you get the itch, its too late and the next few days are gonna suck. However, yesterday I was talking with my neighbor about this since he builds and repairs wind turbine blades. He says you can use baking soda and water to make a paste and apply to the itchy areas. Once it dries, lightly flake it off and most of the fiber particles go with it. Then rinse the rest off with cold water.
This is a good topic Superjet-113. Keep the ideas coming.

Mark Gomez told me some trick about taking a shower and using baby oil to wipe yourself down. He said it worked so well that he doesn't worry about other precautions like long sleeves.

I'd have to ask him again to make sure what it was, but he seemed very confident in it. He said the tip was given to him by a well known fiberglass shop.

Oh, another tip I just thought of when grinding outside... A BIG fan blowing it away from you. :) I have a big squirrel cage fan from a house furnace/air con that I mounted some flat 2x4 legs on and added a 110 plug on it in a small elec. housing. Blows like a mofo!

cut at the backside of a big fan and youll have very little get on you. if you dont have a fan use air pressure to clean yourself. any contact will rub it in :( any talcum powder will help too. shower off your whole body with Head & Shoulders (anti itch). works really well.

Agreed with CarterB. My secret has always been generous amounts of baby powder, then when you're done sanding blow yourself off with lots of compressed air.
