since i ran out of epoxy, why not build a beach cart... for the cost, i couldn't justify spending $700+ for one. i still have to weld on some handles, but all in i only have $150 in materials and about 8hrs of my time. made it out of 1.5"i.d. sch40 aluminum, 1" aluminum rod for the shaft, and some smaller 1.5" o.d. aluminum tubing for the handles.

You're going in the same route I had initially planned for my build. I chopped up an SS hull, became overwhelmed that things wouldn't line up as they should (as it was my first build) and ended up buying the Rhaas pump kit. It's some impressive piece of hardware! But it looks like you know what you're doing, nice glass work!

Looking good you may want to shorten the throw on the steering nozzle by moving the ball in closer. Just fill and drill it a inch further in. This will give you maximum throw when steering.

Why not cut the rails off the ski, put a gas tank under where feet are and shorten the whole front of the hull? Has anyone tried this? I want a back flipping jet ski also and have a spare hull thinking about making a back flipping SJ550.

tons! i have been riding it for about a month now. right off the bat the ebox had to be moved. i attached it to the front of the engine and it cracked the case from the vibration. then once in the water the the stock length handle pole put me to the very back of the tray, causing the ski to want to stand up all the time.

On the inside of the Hull I put 3 layers of s glass. On the outside I put one layer of S glass and 1 layer of carbon fiber
