Freestyle A beginners guide to world finals

Camping is best because it's WF All day and all night there then. It not always 115 but a motor home with AC is best. One year I came home with my new 16mm 1100 Dasa!

Camping in a tent is easily my LEAST favorite thing about WF's every year. Last year I put an EZ up above my tent with tarps surrounding it and 12" fans inside and it's still unbearable in the middle of the day - we ended up renting a house this year with a camp site in group area to practice at the light house.

1) You're in the middle of the desert - it's hot and dry, expect sunburns by the end of the day.

2) Vendor alley is dead during the week days. Maybe 5 booths open during the week, everything else is generally closed until the weekend.

3) Body beach is always packed with racers & freestylers - some freestylers ride at the Crazy horse light house each night as well.

4) Body Beach is the place to be Monday after pro weekend.

5) Get to the grand stands early to get a seat for Pro Freestyle, it is ALWAYS full for the main event.

On a side note, not sure if many people saw, but Pro Freestyle is getting a night-time event under the London Bridge on Saturday night. Qualifying Saturday noon, Rd. 2 Saturday Night, Main Event Sunday Noon - Overall score determined by average score of the 3 events.

Let me help you with the important thing. London bridge is where the party is at night. Find me or one of the other Rad Dudes and but your drinking shoes on and a PBR in your hand. Friday and Saturday night are the huge nights there.

it's warm, not to bad coming from a florida summer. keep water around you and i could see people getting burnt. i thought most of the vendors were open during the week last year?!? as for demo's it's dependent on what you're about. if you are seriously contemplating a ski or a hull. most people don't mind you riding to get a feel of it. i promise you that you won't ride a 2 gallon tank out on a 1200 if you're coming from less then a 1000.

there should a be a superfreak titan for demo, a couple of them to look at. my new thrust built comp ski will be available for serious people. pretty sure tem's white 1200 ski will be there.

If you plan on going, and have not booked a hotel, you better hurry. I booked about a month ago, and pickings were slim.

Don't be a tough guy. You are in Arizona. People carry guns on them everywhere.
Keep all the pot, pills, and powders on the DL. You will do jail time for possession of marijuana, ect.
Do not drink and drive, especially on the water. Expect to get stopped at some point during the week.
Use the Taxis. They will take you anywhere in town for 5 dollars.
Avoid Site 6 if you don't have 4 wheel drive. Just pay the launch fee and go to Havasu Marina.
Kokohoes will be slamming on Friday and Saturday, but there's other places to get drinks in town. Try starting at the top of McCulloch and work your way down.
Bring some loppers and a pruning saw with you to Body Beach.
