Is there any nearby airport? I've got some flight vouchers to burn, might try to make it. Anyone ever fly in / get around without a car?

Yea, if you haven't booked something by now, good luck. We'll be in the campground at CrazyHorse. I actually found somebody to rent a camper from in Havasu who is dropping it off at our campsite. Easy!

BTW guys, its Kokomo...singular.

I haven't been to the WF since 07 but if I remember right their are a few cheapo motels within walking distance of Kokomo. And 2 times I went we flew into Vegas rented a car and drove in Friday am.

I just booked the trusty motel 6. I had to do the one in town because the one by the water was all booked up. $150 for 3 nights, and when you split that up with your girlfriend and two promo girls it's pretty reasonable. Saving money on the hotel allows me to buy more jet ski parts. haha

Hey i have room in my bed in the camper for those two promo girls. Anything to help you out bro.

Thanks for all the input guys! We rented a house 1 mile from body beach, 5 of us. Renting a pickup truck in Vegas and shipping out a ski to be demoed at body beach. See everyone there.

I believe Vegas is an hour closer to Havasu than Phoenix is. There are also shuttles from Vegas to Havasu every day

It's the same more or less. It's a few more miles from Phoenix but its easier to get out of Phoenix and its more of a main rd.
the Vegas drive down is like driving on a 2 lane roller coster.
I have been to Vegas so many time between work and fun I am just sick of the place.

It's about 3 hours and 200 miles to Phoenix (Sky Harbor) or 2 1/2 hours and 150 miles to Vegas (McCarran). Flying to Vegas would be the much better option.

Although it was hot in the beginning of the week, it wasn't 115° in Havasu for the 2012 World Finals.

This event is also in Havasu the main weekend; http://www.lucasoildragboats.com/schedules

That two lane roller coaster is what makes the drive more exciting. Those crappy California roads are the best!
