Surfriding a Few shots of some nice surf we rode on sunday

First time riding moriches inlet, about an hour away east from the usual ride spot we do here on south shore of long island, for some time i have heard surf is almost always good there. it def was, huge sets and was just an average day there from what i was told. as well as a multitude of different ride spots and conditions all close to each other.

Def love to hear about a place that has amazing waves. Are there many stand ups riding there normally? Any issues with surfers and that kinda conflict? How far is the ride spot/inlet from where you launch?

i know of a few guys that ride stand ups there on a reg basis,on the day we went out, we we ended up having 7 of us out there, no issues with surfers as they ride the beach break about 1/4 mi east of the inlet, we did ride the beach close to the inlet,the waves were big and breaking close to shore,with little margin for error and little time to recover/remount if you came off ski from a prev wave. so we ended up riding just outside the inlet and to the west of it(where pics were taken from). its about a 5 min easy straight ride across the bay from the ramp to the inlet,we were out 2 sessions back to back,burning 5 gal fuel each time, coming back into ramp to refuel in between. a bit of boat traffic/ fishing just inside inlet. the mouth of the inlet itself is somewhat narrow with boat traffic and pretty rough water for about 1/8mi. also other than coming in to the bay, there's no easy way to beach ski, rest/repair etc. rocks on both sides of the inlet and big breaking surf close to beaches in ocean. not really the best place for someone not totally comfortable with rough ocean conditions,or first time surf rider.I am set on getting back out there next chance i can, and plan on taking some more pics..i'll let all you local guys know if you wanna join in.
