I had a blast at WD, it was my first time. I came by myself and was a little worried I would be struggling to move my ski around (I don't have a beach cart either). Everyone was so helpful and friendly and really made me feel welcome. I loved how there were dudes just riding around on ATVs with carts - that was so handy. Whoever's idea that was - you rock. I met a lot of great people and it was nice to have a hotel right on the beach (I'm used to beach camping and not having a good shower).
You organizers did a fantastic job, except for Brian, who should be fired for not carrying a rope. Just kidding

I have to say that this was such a thrill. It was insane to be down in the base of a wave and then see someone doing a back flip or a barrel roll almost right over my head. I could just watch everyone for hours! There was so much talent and some seriously awesome skis there...and it was awesome to ride with the dolphins on Sat AM (once I realized they weren't sharks). I will definitely be back next time. I hope to see a lot of you at the Carolina Beach free ride in my home state in a few weeks!
