So we have a thread running now that really sucks ass, and is bringing a lot of people down. Here is a post of something jet ski related that happened to me today that really lightened my mood.
I've been feeling crappy lately;chest congestion, persistant cough, sore throat, for like a week now. Really starting to bug me(and the other folks that have to listen to me cough)so I finally decide to go see a doctor this afternoon.
This tiny middle aged Asian female nurse-practioner takes my BP, checks my throat, my ears, my eyes etc. And starts asking general questions about my health, eating habits, exercise, etc. She says my weight is real good and I am in decent shape for an old guy and asks me what I do for exercise. I kinda grimace and say, "Well in the winter, I hit the weight room every other day, but spring through late fall I just ride my stand up jetski."
I was just waiting for "What is that?" or "They still make those?" But instead she replies "Really? A Kawasaki or a Yamaha?" I was floored. I told her I rode a Yamaha Superjet and she filled me in on how her husband rides an SXR and their son has an old 750SX. :woot:
I know it sounds lame, but it actually made my day.
