The reason for stainless it has about 3 to 5 times the structural strength of drawn ally , reason we wanted this is reduce flex in the pole as the more effort absorbed by the pole less is transferd to the frount of the ski during manouvers ie backflips rolls stabs etc.
uhm...you have it backwards. the more structurally rigid the pole is, the more energy is transferred to the front of the ski.

the more flexible it is, the less you get to the front of the ski.

Never thought of that.
I guess that's why we've been seeing more and more hull destruction in the pole mount area as people have went to more rigid aftermarket poles.

or, we could use it on one of those crappy wdk hulls with the "over built" nose section that submarine kept bitching about, that was breaking handlepoles. but then you would just break your wrists instead. :biggrin:
