A true homebuilt B.O.B

So my brother and I are on a mission to build skis under 5k that will flip. So far i have a chopped nose 750 sx with many mods. Its not cutting it. So my bro and i glassed in a pump/pump tunnle out of a seadoo with a 155mm pump into a 300sx with a 750 and factory pipe. It flips. Off of a wake. Its really impressive seeing how it might be worth 2500$ in parts to build. Anyway, the next step for me is. I've now chopped almost 7" from the rear of my ski. As well as the -10" off of the fron that i did a year ago. And i have picked up a 98 seadoo gsxl 951 that i will be usuing as a doner. The 951 motor and 155mm pump are going into my chopped 750 hull to see what the out come is. I also plan to modify the crankcases so that there is no balance shaft.. I will keep adding pics as i go

The way I see it, is time is my own time. I don't have to pull money out of my pocket, just put my time into it. It's a Hobby not a job. Keep it up. Looks good man. Ballin on a budget

Your crazy! I like it! But better off spending that time working part time somewhere and using the money to buy a new a/m hull. However, I really want to see video of a 951 in a standup! =)

Thanks for the comments i will keep posting pics. Hahahaha yeah both skis are pretty ugly at the moment. My bro and i have been making constant changes to our hulls.. But over the winter i will put in the time to finish mine up nicely. I will be making many custom parts for this build and looking to chop as much weight as i can. Has anyone ever done what we have? Mounting up big seadoo pumps? After riding my bros 300 with the 155mm pump, i wad sold!! Jus needs more power. And with the 951, big power is not hard to achieve. Im excited to ride this thing when its done

don't get me wrong great project , keep it up , I built up a couple of hulls myself ......

my experience I learned is that I don't have to reinvent the wheel.....
my experience has shown me that " time " is the most precious thing there is....more than money

you are blessed with time so lets see how that thing rocks the 951 ;0)

The enging fits pretty nicley to be honest, i borrow enough parts from a to put together a engine case for a mock up. After i saw it was doable i picked up the complete donor gsxl. I plan to use a coffman pipe and i will have to modify the chamber a bit to get it to fit. And im also making a 2-1/2" rear exit exhaust.. Stock was only 1-7/8", i dodnt want to choke up the mill so it had to be done. Luckly im a machinst/welder by trade and have all the tools i need for fabbing up pretty much anything :)

I've made some progress in my spare time. My pump shoe is almost done and so far eveything is fitting in the ski. I removed the stock through hull exhaust and made my own that's 2.5". And i opened up the pump intake by an inch. Im guessing that in the next week i will be mounting up the engine. Here are a few pics.
