able cylinder

What is an Able stroker cylinder worth? I found a local guy that has one for sale, I dont know all the specs on it right this minute, but he is selling the head, spacer plate, and cylinder. What is it worth assuming everything is good with it?

bump... What would you pay for this, I need an idea of what a reasonable offer is? Ports still need to be cleaned up and bore is at 81mm.

Define "ports need to be cleaned up"... Has it been ported? I assume so. The porting and the sleeves would be your major concerns. Most of those Able cylinders were setup for racing. However, A good race cylinder can hit very hard for freestyle and all-around riding. It all depends on the setup. I got my Able cylinder un-assembled and un-ported. I absolutely love it and will never sell it.

If it needs sleeves, they are not available unless you pay for something custom

Does it come with a 5mm crank? thats a big expense to consider.

No crank, just head and cylinder. I would not build it right away, rather slowly accumulate the parts needed then send it all off to be built.

It doesnt need sleeves, my understanding is that the cylinder was bought then the current owner began to clean the ports up (hence the metal shavings) then he never finished. He is a pwc technician with 30+ yrs experience so Im pretty sure he knows what he is doing, but who knows. The phrase "clean the ports up" is exactly what he told me so idk if that means port the sob or what

What did you pay for that cylinder if you dont mind me asking?

they are bad azz down low,anything less than 500 and your good
