Thinking of using ABS instead of PVC to save a little weight on a one way valve install.

Does anyone have any opinions on this? Anything bad to say about ABS?

what about fiberglass tube? very strong, super light and resin bonds to it.

ABS sands and grinds more like fiberglass instead of plastic. I prefer ABS because once sanded it bonds better to adhesives/resin than PVC plastic.

:eek:mfg:Ummm edit:
I didnt mean the black ABS pipe here... I meant the grey electrical conduit pipe. Sorry bout that, I was thinking ABS was that. I cant speak for the ABS black pipe as I have never used it before. I just know its more brittle and is/was used in modular/mobile homes.

You can also get the grey electrical pipe at Lowes/HomeDepot type places.
