I have a -3 ac rr pole and i want to put a blowsion cf chinpad on it. My question is are the fins on the pole suppose to be trimed in order to put the pad on? When i put it on it seems like i have to squeez the sides of the pad out and the mounting fins on the pad kinda sit at an angle instead of siting flat against the fins on the pole. Are the fins on the pole supose to be cut so i dont have to squeez it out so far? Thanks

The pole is perfect. The pad is not. My WDK lined up 100% balls on perfect on my old set up.

2 blowsions in a row (returned for refund in the end) didn't at all....had to flex them to the point of absurdness. Did you get the lovely little "bushings" with the pad?

I wouldn't cut a new AC no way.

the ac pole i have was made like junk. a stock chinpad barely worked.

I bought a fiberglass chinpad and set up the mounts on the chinpad for that pole. That way it was an exact match.

The way it was made, you can't get a socket on the bolts for the pad either. Terrible design, but it is a cheap/strong pole.

madmat your ac pole and the wdk chinpad does fit good, pole is still holding up strong, its def a pain to get the pad on and off, cuz cant get a sockcet in there. a 10mm gear wrench works perfect

glad to hear it man...that pole/bracket/steering totally changed my riding style to surf stance and I loved it! I thought I gave you the hex head bolts? I used a long, cut hex key wrench and glued it in to a 1/4 socket with 5200. But gear wrenches are the chit!

actually i bought it used from someone off the "other site" a while ago. Maybey he had the same problem and thats why he sold it, and no i didnt get any bushings with it from him i didnt know theres supose to be any. I have to stretch the sides out so far to even get past the tabs on the pole i feel like it may break.

Also the tabs on the pad arent lined up with each other just like the pad in your wdk vs blowsion thread. After reading that thread im just going to order one from wdk looks like theres a big difrence in quality. I could prob make this one work but id rather not. You cant beat $150 for a pad thats gonna fit right and i can use it for a stool to stand on if i need to. Thanks for the input.

Let us know how it goes....and yea the Blowsion one came with little bushing/think washers that were SUPPOSED to help...I guess....but actually just made it worse when trying to install it/hold the stupid bushings in place/flex the crap out of it all at once...

I don't know if it's like the x-metal pole or not but... I have an xmetal pole and took it down to xmetal for inspection. Radney mentioned that my chin pad tabs hadn't been cut. So the xmetal pole has tabs that are meant to be trimmed.

Which pole do you have the one thats like the ac pole? Must have the one like the ac? Im thinking about saying screw it and getting an rrp pole or the xmetal adjustable. I havent seen anypics of the x metal on an sn though not sure how it would look.
