yes it was a rn bracket. went with the x-metal adjustable steering system and took care of the cable problem that way.

Im not trying to thread jack but i noticed in your sig your using a mrd fi setup, how do you like it? what are the benefits over carbs. I saw one on ebay for 600 but didnt know if it is worth the money. Just curious, Im staying with a stockish motor so prob wont ever need it.

If you can wait till January, I'll have an AC pole available. I had a new pole fabbed up and should be switched out by then. Just an FYI.

love it! wouldn't go without it on the kawi, the response is incredable and at the time we installed it (before the 850 build) it was an instant 5-6 mph gain AT LEAST over the carbs i was running. some say they are tempermental and hard to get tuned but i have had no problems with mine. 600 does sound a little high these days though, seen them go for alot less lately.

I put an AC superjet pole on my sxi. I used the conversion bushings from blowsion and used my stock pole bracket.(it requires a little grinding to the casting in the middle of the bracket so the pole does not hit it when it is lifted up) I guy on this site(BRUINS) make a pretty nice and inexpensive steering set that can be reversed for kawi applications. I heated and bent the stock spring to work with the yamaha pole. you will also need a rn chinpad and a handlepole limiting rope. Definately worth doing

Thanks for the offer, but i think postage and all that for a pole could be a bit expensive.

I found a alloy pole that i can pick up pretty cheap and is in fairly good condition, but i had him measure it and it is the same size of the standard pole.. Is there any reason why i should want a shorter pole?? I mostly ride at the lake but am looking to getting to the beach a bit this summer, should i buy it??

Thanks for the reply's to, really helpful
