if it's for a superjet, it's 18 on the headbolts and 23 on the girdles

Just installed this tonight. I was nervous about the 18 and 23 so i went with 21 and 33 just to be a bit different. Thanks for the advice x-h2o, once again i feel more confident after reading through some of these posts now. I saw someone blow out a base gasket in daytona so i would rather have them tighter then ada suggests.

i am currently at 18/ 23 and there is residue on the front of the block here and there. . so i guess i should tighten mine up? and if so, is it ok to just go out and torque them as it sits?

It depends on how long it's been that way (leaking)...if the base gasket is toast, you might need to replace it first , then follow my spec's!!
A question for you guys. I’m using 23 on the head bolts and 26 on the girdle bolts. Could this give me a higher compression rating than ADA says. Trying to figure out if my gauge is “happy” I have 37cc domes in stage 2 jetmaniac motor. I’m getting reading or 185-190 ish. Tried another gauge and got 220. Just trying to figure out if I need to mix gas.
