Just to really stir the pot here...

arent the 62t cylinders alot beefier and less prone to crack?

and what about filling those hollow cavities in the bottom of your cylinder ( 61x or 62t) to strengthen that area?

I bought a 61x cylinder last year with a crack, and its in the EXACT same place ive seen others crack, and you tell by looking how the vibrations and weight of the pipe try to "stretch" that area.

I have been asking before about anyone who has cracked a 62t cylinder, but so few folks run them, its hard to get failure info.

I'll say it again, this is why you run a girdle kit. No need for explanation.

hey douglee what pipe were you running on it when that happened? looks like a Riva Red Pipe in the background and if I had to guess I bet that heavy pipe had a lot to do with it.

Mine cracked in the front, and from just playing around on flat water, and mine was girdled, but missing one bolt :banghead: Look at my pics, cracked in the front. I'm going to try to have it welded and hope for the best :frown:
Oh yeah, it was ported, TL, I imagine higher RPM, B-Pipe, and I believe 160 or 180 psi. Still on 93 Pump gas.

Just my .02 and experience,
