Ada Head / Metric 10 x 1.25 SS nut ?

Looking for a stainless solution to the ADA chromed acorn nut for their girdled head. Mine are rusty, new ones are $$$. Would be happy with just a stainless locknut, but can't find one with the thread pitch required. Acorn nut would be acceptable too. McMastercarr I struck out on too. Thoughts?

Also - somewhere there is a thread about the ADA o-ring kit, someone found all the proper o rings to make my own kit from Mcmaster vs. buying the ada one. does it save any money ? Can you link me to it please ?

the acorn nuts are hard to find in stainless. ADA sells them for like $3 each i think. Hit JetManiac up, he can set you up to. No sense in searching to much when JM mark-up is almost nothing.

Looking for stainless vs chromed... Are JM's stainless ? As mentioned, would be just as happy with stainless teflon lock nut vs acorn.

That is an oddball hard pitch to find. 10 x 1.25. You might try ebay too.

I only ride flat water and keep the hood off in my garage when not riding and mine are still rusting...

the 8 nuts that hold down every kawasaki 650 750 800 cylinder to the cases are the ones you are looking for. some of the old 650s arent acorn but the rest are. as far as Oring kits go, i go to fluid tech hydrolics, but any hydrolic place should have every size Oring in stock. Oring rope seals the waterjacket. dirt cheap as opposed to buying from who ever.

Had grainger and mcmastercarr do some research into it, they say they can't even find/get them.

Rusting on the outside ? Or inside where the threads are ? Are you using spray silicon on the outside and enough anti-seize on the threads ? Never had a problem myself for years.

ARP make the best nuts and bolts in the business right here in the USA. You can get what you need from them through JEGS or Summit Racing.

You certainly don't need locknuts for that application. On ebay enter in search: 10 x 1.25 stainless nut, available from the UK. You'll find the ADA combustion chamber orings , pack of 10 for $7.22 :http://www.mcmaster.com/#9464k431/=uedd27
they also have the others that go around the dome neck and the corded stock.
These o rings also fit the legacy Able and Trix heads.
