Had the same problem with mine. Had to clean the threads out with a tap and use two nuts on the girdle bolts to screw them in

I always had trouble with the ada bolts. Even after running a tap to clean up the holes, they like to get stuck. Bought a snap on special tool to remove and install studs, still had problems.

Its always one front corner stud that doesnt go in all the way.

From now on, i use the two part type from blowsion. Its worth the extra coin to know your cyl is secure when removing head. And i am over the whole kawi spikes and chain wallet style acorn nuts poor design that ada sells. ADA makes great headshells, domes, couplers and other goods.

took out all the studs used 1,25 tap from a heli coil set that i had thank god for that and now the world is fine a again and how about the oversize outside o ring that comes wrapped in a small package that the oring now has many bends in it making it harder to stay in head groove

I use assembly Grease , helps keep the O-ring in the groove. I would rather do an ADA O-ring it's a little too big and the DASA one I just did it was way too small.

To clarify are the studs too long or too short? You say they don't thread on far enough and also that they are sticking out too far from the head, which is it?

Good thinking! The 8mm x 1.25 STI tap from a Helicoil set is only 0.2mm smaller than the proper 10-1.25 tap, but will work just fine for this thread chasing
