Other ADA Water Thermostats

Wondering if anyone else has some of these gems kicking around, id like to know if they are common or a hard to come by item. I picked these up a few years ago on here from @spookyjjj

these are 140* water thermostats for 3/8" cooling from ADA Racing. I contacted ADA and they dont/wont be making any more, didn't say why though. It restricts flow to a trickle till they warm up and then its full blast. I run one from my motor to pisser and from my pipe to pisser.

For me its a perfect solution, as i ride multiple different bodies of water and the temps can go from low 40's to mid 80's river to lake to other lake. I was always fighting tuning to keep my motor temps up or down in some cases.

so, any info?

my guess is they stopped making them due to dumb people not noticing when/if they failed and frying a motor. but that is awesome man.

I'd like to grab a set. Looks like a great solution. I have seen m456-1 used in snomobiles but its 5/8"

https://www.altfuel.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=M456-1 this one is 3/8 but its a 130 degree.... and its meant for LP idk water would effect

4E0121113 thermostat is what im looking into. still haveing a hard time seeing what the exact temp range. im finding anywhere from 150-170. Its the thermostat for the trans cooler for an audi 2.0T transmission. inline 3/8"

The big lake i ride is only 38-40 degrees right now. The small inland lakes are temping at 50 near shore right now. I am constantly changing water restrictors and manual adjusters. Theres gotta be a better way!

there are a few. what temps you want seems to be the issue as ive yet to see a good write up about what water temps we should see at the head. be careful with that one u posted early. its normally open and closes as temp rises so that probably wont work so well.

I would assume 140 is good target considering ada had good r and d back in the day. Its amazing anything is still made for our skis. My guess is they stopped making them bc there was little return or profit margin on them. When standup sales started to slip, and racing wasnt getting budlight level sponsor interest....they were not selling very well.

No I don't think so, design 140deg I think with safety at 160 deg. Just came across this on Atlantic jet Sport. I'd like to know more. It may be used for reasons other than designed.

that is an expensive thermostat! ^ They cant be that hard to make, you just need a spring that gets weak and allows water to pass at "x" temperature.

$60 on ebay its all aluminum , if you can reduce the 1-1/4 outlets ! search for inline thermostat ..... '''' Meziere WN0073 Inline Thermostat Housing ''' jegs has them too

GM thermostat 170 deg. ( Referring to Meziere WN0073 ) Thats too hot for engine water but if Factory pipe says to tune until water sizzles on pipe then how could this not work on head pipe outlet?
