Yeah, I don't have those bits so I'll probably just pick up an extended bit. Can you tell me where you placed the hole?

I bought a set of ryobi speed loaded bits and a Bosch 8" extension. It's was less than $30. It has a slight wobble but I just started with a smaller bit and worked up, went slow and it drilled straight.

I had a twin so I went through the hin numbers.

You can just use reed spacers with a pulse fitting. I had them in my old hull but the stock x2 hull can't accommodate the extra space the carbs need, so I had to drill.
