adjusting carb for b pipe

im installing a b pipe on my 04 sj with the dual 38 carb stock set up so it says i need to adjust the high and low speed screws. however they are covered! any advice on how to get to them??

PLEASE HELP!

you can try and pull the caps out yourself or send them to jetski solutions i pulled one cap out myself then realized i would never be able to adjust them so i just sent them to jss

Is it necessary to adjust the high and low screws or can you try it with the jets that fp recommends and go from there? Seems like a pita for everyone that wants to but a b on a ski with dual 38's.

I'm about to take my carbs. off to pull the caps out. Why cant you adjust the screws once the caps are off? Is there something in there to stop you from moving the screws?

I was told to drill a small hole in the cap. Then put a small screw in the hole and pry it off. Just becareful not to drill to deep.

Yep… you can drill a hole in the center of those plugs and use a small dent puller to remove them. You will need to purchase two low and high speed adjusters. The hole for the low and high speed circuits may need to be drilled out too. I'm not certain of the size but I think it's around .032in. You will have to increase your main jet size too.

You have to drill the cap ( becaureful because if you go to deep, you'll hit the adjuster) Pry it out.

Once they're removed the adjusters are under the cap. It is tricky to adjust them, but you CAN do it. I use a drill bit used in a drill ( short and can fit between the carbs) 2 of the adjusters are easy, and the other two arent bad if you pull the F/A's off.

You CAN NOT but new high and low adjusters they will not fit the body of the carb, so as of now your'e stuck with the pia ones.

Dont send them to JSS, I guess his knobs are to heavy and vibrate out...

As far as jetting your ski. b pipe and ada right?

Go with 135, 75 stok n/s and spring. Screws about 1 each out.

I probably put 40 tanks of fuel through my ski last year and never had a problem with my JSS knobs either. I wouldn't do it over again though. I never had to adjust them once after putting them back on.

Jetworks makes T-handle replacement adjuster screws for SJ carbs. With these they will be adjustable by hand just as with any other carb.

they fit the 38's with out having to drill?

No. You still have to remove the caps to get out the original screws. You can also get the Jetworks screws through Blowsion and any Hot Products dealer.
