Adobe cs6 collection

I cant believe how much this software is. All I want is illustrator and photoshop. Each one is over 400 bucks. I have found people selling the whole collection on craigslist for 400, but I don't want to buy stolen copies. I want mine to be legit. Is there a way to tell when you buy from these guys? Im not very computer savvy. If its risky I'll just fork over the cash, but I'm really trying to avoid that if possible. Thoughts?

If its sounds too good to be true it probably is. How about an older version they havent changed too much over the years.

If you want "legit" software you will have to pay for it.

Agreed on getting an older version...I use CS6 for my freelance work, but use CS5 at my day job and they are not that much different.

You can also get the Creative Cloud package for $50 a month. You basically use the program online...nothing to install on your computer.

The Creative Cloud package installs on your computer... then you can install ANY adobe software you want to your computer... Limited to 2 computers... and only 1 computer can be using the software at a time.

It's not really completely online, you still need to install the cloud software, and then install any other adobe software you want.

Adobe elements is 100, don't know if it has the tools you would need. Illustrator sub- IDK

GIMP is open source. Some buds say they use this all the time, my guess.. they go back to PS. lol

Look at Adobe Creative Cloud. Try it for 30 days for free. If you are not computer savvy maybe Adobe products are overkill?

You may be able to "scam" a Student/Teacher account...

As a business, we were using "questionable" licenses for years. We got too big for that and recently ended up "paying the piper".

The wife is registering for college classes again so I'm going to hold out and buy a student version of cs6. I don't like the idea of paying monthly for creative cloud. After 2 year I will have paid more than the standard cs6 package and still won't own the software. It's total BS IMO. It may be fantastic for a hard core graphic designer who always needs the newest update but that's not me.
