Advanced Timing 701sj ? ? ?

Im getting ready to put on a Zero flywheel on my 701 Sj that has a bunch of am parts and I'm wanting to know how much 3% is to advance my timing which I'm told will give much better throttle response and 3% is recommended soooo Are we talking 1/8" or 1/16" Counterclockwise ?
