Advent Programmable Ignition Curves

Just an FYI for those running or thinking of running Advent ignitions.

Each Advent comes with a curve set of four selectable curves. There are at least 21 different curve sets out there (I am not sure how unique they are, but that equates to 84 different curves).

They charge $50.00 to reprogram your unit to any one of their available curve sets. For an additional $25.00 they will create a custom curve to your specs.

Joe, this must just be for the total loss brain, not the T3, right? Did not think there could be any 'outside' programming for the t3, just the small switches.

T3's can be re-programmed by Advent. I would imagine thats what he's talking about.

Yes, this is for the T3.

The two switch states on each T3 allow four different curves (binary 00, 01, 10, and 11 for you geeks). The four curves that are available for a given T3 are specified by the "D" number label taped onto the CDI.

They have at least 21 sets of 4 curves (I say this because I own T3 CDIs with D2, D15, and D21). You can select from their sets or create your own (I just learned that Aadvent creates your own custom curves the other day and thought of sharing it here).
