I might have a few spare sj's...i COULD be convinced to let one go im sure. ROFLMAO...you might like a little cheapo 550 or something though until you really get the hang of it and decide what you truly want. i need to get you on an SX-R so you can check that out...i think you'd have a blast on a little built 550 too..they are SO light.
you should ride a few different things at the ride and see what you like. im sure a lot of these fine folks would let you tool around on their skis and get a feel for a few different things.
this community is pretty close that way.

Tribby... to get all the guys on here riled up. Its like South Park were Bebe got boobs. We all turn into savages.

Good luck. I'd hit Dreamer up on his offer. Ride a few and see what fits you and go from there.

Hahaha I'll have more pics up soon of me on dreamers ski and a couple others. *Shesh tough crowd*
So since I'm looking to work up to freestyle comps what are some areas I should work on to prep for that goal?

work on the basics like nose stabs, riding the hood and work on your fitness and control... Also, find a ski that's built already, you will save cash in the long run.

Not many girls doing freestyle worth a crap, so you will have your hands full... Good luck and like everyone has said, keep reading and watching videos...

Matter of fact I'd love to ride every second I can except someone *cough* left a ski in the backyard and won't let me ride it without him here!

Just start riding and the rest you just learn as you go. Get to know your ski inside and out. And it doesn't matter how you land, pancaking hurts.

that's what I did...it almost works...lol

Thats too freakin awesome:woot:
