Super Jet Advice on next upgrade..

My current setup:

- 93 SN 701 61x/61x
- Ported top and bottom end
- Recently rebuilt w/1mm oversize piston
- All new gaskets
- PSI pipe
- One way valve
- Reenforced engine comp
- 11/16 Hooker
- Riva F/A
- Protec intake grate
- R&D Ocean Pro ride plate (d-cut)
- Electric bilge
- Footholds and turf
- Billet finger throttle pole spring

My options (in order) for next mod:

- MSD enhancer
- ADA girdled head kit 35cc domes
- Milled head
- Intake/reeds
- Hull upgrade (next season)

I'm looking for more bottom end snap. I'm really leaning towards an MSD for that timing curve (rather than modded stock CDI which only removes rev limiter) but at a crossroads between that and running higher compression.
Which option is best and if there are any better suggestions please enlighten me. My budget is around $300 - $400.

IMO MSD....and take care of it. Never crank the motor without a place for the energy to go.

I am still in disbelief every time I read here on the X that someone couldn't tell the difference! I'm like try harder!

You're positive you're running an 11/16 hooker? You're overpropped. Have it repitched to 9/15 and you might be satisfied without doing anything else. I'd swap to an Ada head with 35cc domes before an Enhancer. More noticeable gain.

I'm not 100% sure that's the prop and pitch. The guy I bought it from claims it is but he was wrong about a few other things. How can I check brand and pitch? Is it marked on the impeller somewhere? I'd hate to have to pull out my pump again.

On hookers I believe the pitch is scribed on the inside of the prop, you'd have to remove it. 11/16 isn't a standard hooker size either... But finding out what prop you have will be worth it. Proper pump load makes all the difference.

I swear I think it's a Solas. You're right though, that pitch is odd for a hooker prop but seems about right for a Solas.

Also I haven't installed my pipe yet since I'm waiting on a coupler and jets. Running stock right now so maybe I'll be happy after I swap out that crappy stock exhaust.

Yes! Sounds about right for a solas. A pipe is going to make a world of a difference. A head will make it even better. With a pipe and a head you're bottom end will be a ton better. Make sure you raise the Rev limiter on your cdi if you haven't. I personally have an Enhancer but didn't notice much of a difference from stock with raised limiter. If you need a raised limiter I have a cdi modded I'd let go for cheap.
