Custom/Hybrid Aftermarket SXR hull

Location

So after searching around on a flatwater freestyle ski, I think I'm going to go with a BOB hull for a fall build. But I did take out my skis yesterday, a RN SJ and an SXR. Total night and day. I really like the way the SXR rode, but it felt like an anchor compared to the SJ. Anybody have any thoughts on an aftermarket SXR hull? I've been looking between the Trinity hulls and the Bulletts. Also on this forum, there's supposed to be a builder in South Jersey making some kind of SXR based ski, I think it was called a Tiger Craft? Anybody ever ridden one of these yet? The sole purpose of this ski is to be ridden in the surf, and I'm not going to lie, I'm liking the extra 100lbs lighter my SJ is. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Patch affiliated with Waterdawg at all? I didn't list that hull because of the feedback I've seen on him- mostly negative

No he just got the hull in a package deal.
Waterdawg makes a great hull and everyone will tell you that. Waterdawg just is very hard to work with and you have to wait forever to get one. But you can skip that since the hull is already done.

There are a few options out there for the SXR. Besides the waterdawg and BOB you have Trinity, EME, and Quick Style Motorsports. QSM can build you a light weight SXR hull to any specs that you wish. I have been wondering how a light weight bullett hull will do. Bullett hulls are made for racing but still are 80lbs lighter than a stock hull.

yes, we are still making hulls, been concentrating more on getting our freestyle hull finished but I have the hull and deck made that I will be assembling next week, price will be around 4k (your choice of color, turf and graphics) with unmatched quality for skis in its class.I will keep you updated as well as posting on the forum and you are more than welcome to come take it for a test ride

I have a -2 Trinity SXR hull that is the ES model. It is his cheapest model and is 103lbs. (Price is comparable to other hulls) It is lighter than a stock Superjet, but still handles when you need it. All of the boat anchor problems that you feel will be gone, it'll stick when you want and slide when you want it to. Basically, I feel it is the perfect surf boat.

.....and after 3 years, there is NOT A DROP of water in it and the hull doesn't even have one little crack in the gel coat. (I beat the :):):):) out of this thing too) It is woven together solid as a rock and is a very stiff ski with NO flex. BTW, all my Kawi parts lined right up with no problem...no shimming the motor, nothing.

Finallly, you will have a HUGE gain in power from losing all the weight, it will smoke your Superjet.

It comes with footholds (allready installed) rideplate and hood.

Needless to say, I am a fan.

I had a Bullet Gen1 and it was awesome. Got rid of it and bought a BOB,didnt like it so much. Bought a Trinity EVO Pro full carbon -2. Its pretty nice and built like a tank, has footholds installed during build which is nice. Its a nice boat but the ES or XF are probably a better buy. I like the way the Bullet handles better for my mediocre skills, I also feel that Rusty(Bullet) and Bobby(Tinity) build very fine products that other manufacturers should aspire too, and customers should expect. Bullet, Trinity ? Both are tops in my book.
