I'm getting an airleak around the PV's. New gaskets and all 4 bolts torqued as hard as I can get them. Taken apart twice, not sure what else to try, remove gasket and 1211?

Also anyone know torque specs for PV's

10psi dropping to 5psi after about 2 minutes.

I have seen that on a few PV's after I cleaned mine I reassembled with new gaskets and 1211 because i was scared about a air leak. I am sure that somebody that knows more then me will tell me that is dumb but It's working for me. I can t remember off hand the torque on those but it was more then I thought it would be.

Looks to me like you need to match the manifold to header, you're loosing quite a bit of power like it is.
Chris.

?
Its leaking from the PV's not the mani. Pic's sorta make it look like the mani is leaking but I can assure is coming from under the PV gasket on the front cylinder and above the gasket on the rear.

Yes, I wasn't referring to the leak, I just noticed there seems to be a bad mis match between your manifold and header pipe. Its free horse power, spend some time matching them with the gasket.

I've used permatex "thread sealant" and Honda bond before on PV bellows to seal them.

not the bellows. Ended up putting 1211 on both sides of the gasket, leakdown test after breakfast. Still confused "why" I would have to do such a thing on a new motor with new gaskets? Maybe the gaskets are cheapo's?

Yeah 1211 and the gaskets worked for us, i think the green gaskets are the issue in that instance, we had our own made that had a little more give to them so that they compress and form a little better.

I think xmw recommend's soaking with silicone, letting it dry for a few than coating with 1211.But it looks like you got it worked out DAG!

I had the same problem with mine. Like Chad said our gasket guy cut out a thicker set and then I still 1211 them. I can sell the thicker ones of people want them.
I just don't get why there isnt a oring on them!!!

I was thinking the same thing but the exhaust pin port is about .080 from the edge of the PV flange. I'm assuming wider flanges interfere with other exhaust mani's but it sure would be nice to relocate that pin port and add an o-ring

Just slap some ultra black on super thin and your fine. Or anything else, but silicone and gas dont go well together. IMO Make sure to put on thin so you dont block the small holes for the pv. They leak because there are only two 6mm bolts and they are far apart.
