Under-rotated? He never left the water. A js 440 could have been rolled off that wake. Anyway, I was out on the lake that day and it was far from rough.

so did he recover the ski or is it out there for the taking?

He was happy to find out that Chicago Park district divers had tied a buoy to the ski and were able to recover the craft after the air show was over.
