wow this thread was unbeknownst to me...
shill bidding is bidding on something to raise the price... i never bid above the reserve price, I had changed my mind about starting the bid off at one cent because I wasn't getting any hits on the link so i decided to up the price by bidding on it but I never bid above the reserve... It may be considered shill bidding technically but I never forced anyone to pay a higher price then they would have had to in the first place... IM NOT A CROOK!

on a side note, im not airick750...

p.s. its my birthday

Can you explain how bidding up the item from $.01 to whatever (below the reserve) helped anything, besides screwing ebay out of the starting price fees? If people weren't buying at $.01 they probably wouldn't at something higher. Except for maybe a mental push to get the bidding going?

No flame, I just don't see why you did it. Personally, if I got any indication of the seller working the bid up in any way, they'd be history as far as sales to me go.

tubbies is/are the answer
I guess I see where you guys are coming from on this. It wasn't my intention to screw anyone, its just that two and half days went by on the auction with no bids and I figured it was just getting overlooked because of the low price. I just didnt want to have to pay relisting fees because I didnt list it the way I should have.
Either way, I'll admit it was a mistake because I know some people are bitter about it. Im glad that nobody was directly affected by it, I cancelled the auction and sold it outside of Ebay. Hopefully there are no hard feelings about this.

Thanks for the birthday wishes

All good

I'm amazed no one bid on it at a penny start, although they would know you had a reserve and wouldn't get it for that. I'd bid something on the low end just to see if I can get it. That is, as long as the shipping doesn't tip the scales on me (cost wise)
