Use a 2.5mm shim and make sure all the fingers have the same gap. If the bottom fingers are tighter together then the top, that means the front of the motor needs to come up and visa versa, thatll get your alignment perfect.

Maybe this is obvious, but do you shim without the rubber widget between couplers? The idea being align and label without that in there applying pressure. Then pull apart, insert the widget, reassemble. Or is that being too picky?

Absolutely without the rubber dampener. It will shove the couplers in a better position without being properly alligned.

Also bolt down motor and make sure. Then unbolt, move forward and put dampener in.
