AM hull newbie question

Just picked up a hurricane c2 and the rrp pole and steering is tight.

I've never owned an AM hull so not sure if there is a reason to that. For tricks or if the guy before me liked it like that?

When I mean by tight, is it seems like the pole bolt is too tight. I can push the pole up or down and it will stay in that spot. Same thing with the steering.

All my other skis have normal movement.

That's pretty much how a lot have it set up. The tight poll might take a little getting used too. you can loosen the bolt if you don't like it or want to adjust it. The steering is normal too, slightly firm and stays, doesn't return.

On a short freestyle ski a tight pole will save your back and make it easier to control the ski.

Okay that's what I figured but wasn't sure. I'll just leave it and learn to ride like that

A second benefit to the tight pole is when you take your hood off you just push your pole up and it stays there.
