Super Jet Am I F*%^ed?

I just bought a ski literally yesterday...first time out the battery wouldnt turn over so i jumped it with my waverunner. Long story short everything that could go wrong did and i ended up in about 4ft of water holding my ski with water in it up to the rim. I sat there and held it out of the water until the bilge pumps pumped out all the water. So I just wanna know if i just f'ed over my new ski and what what can i do about this

If it sprays you in the face with the plugs out then its ingested water, if this happens you got about an hour of turning it over, pulling plugs, drying them off, then repeating over and over and over. Then once it runs you need to run the dog $hit out of it for at least 30 minutes.

Just crank it over with the plugs removed first. If it has water in it, it will come shooting out. If there no water then you don't need to turn it upside down. If water comes out while cranking you'll need to turn it upside down and right side up several times (While cranking it over) in order to get the water out. It may take 10 minutes to crank out the water in a ski which has been fully submerged

do it now

if you cannot run it by tomorrow you must either pickle the engine by filling it with premix....or, oil the :):):):) out of everything and turn it over frequently until you can run it...

but it needs to be ridden....and not just on the trailer

what you are trying to do is heat and agitate the engine so as to burn off any water still remaining in the system

good luck!

the longer it sits, the more likely you'lll have a crank bearing failure

alright i just turned it upside down which by the way is a pain in the a$$ by yourself and water definitely got in the motor...but like i said in the beginning of the thread my battery is dead so i have it charging now but for now i cannot actually try and crank it up. im going to keep shifting it to try and get all the water out

i would try to jump it off a car battery or something to at least spin the motor and shoot fogging oil in there or something.

did it sink in salt or fresh water?

either way i would try to get it running as early as possible. it's also a good thing to flip it and let as much water drain out on its own before spinning the engine with the starter. i found out a full engine will shoot water out anyway it can including back through the reeds bending them and making it super hard to start. good luck

thank you everyone...i figured the battery charged enough so i pulled it and it started up no problem so i let it run for a lil bit (being that it is 12:00 im sure my neighbors hate me but ohwell), im sure this doesnt mean im in the clear yet but ill get it to the river tomorrow morning for a run and hopefully everything will be fine
