My dispatcher at work has bad breath.. so he’s in my work area asking questions and asking even more questions then he needs too and I got take the breath trying to be polite…. So he leaves I get the idea, maybe I should get him some Mints from the vending machine this time, try and help him out… the little voice in my head is cautioning me…. But I go ahead anyways, all the machine has is watermelon flavored gum, oh well so I get that and
Discreetly set it in front of him at his desk, I say no words….. he blurts out “what are trying to tell me something”? Well yeah, so he blurts out your rude…..

I just walked away….. my alternative was offer some of my tooth past but it’s not sanitary…so I got him something fresh or I could do nothing like everyone else around here

Similar issue at an old job I had with people from India. I brought them in old spice deodorant and dove soap. They where happy I let them know. for your guy at work you should ask him if he rather not know, and you would want someone to discretly let you know.

Lol, not out of line but it can be a touchy subject for some. I use humor for all hard conversations and would jump in with something along the lines of "how much ass did you eat for lunch and next time bring enough for everyone!"

I worked with a guy who had the same issue. He'd be trying to show me something on th ecomputer and his breath would gag you if you got downwind. I finally said something to him and was more embarassed that everybody knew and made a joke of it but never told him. He had tooth and gum issues and was working with a dentist to get it remedied.

I had the same issue with a person of that same ethnicity many years ago, so at lunch I got one of those xmas tree shaped air fresheners and hung it on his toolbox.
